Why?

Why did I start this blog if I am not going to make a bigger effort to keep up with it?
Why don't more people in Greenville want to have their teeth fixed and made beautiful?
Why don't cars last as long as you need them to?
Why do loved ones make dangerous choices?
Why do people get cancer?
Why do stomach viruses exist and why are adults immune to them until a little one lives with them?
Why is the sky blue?

Aside from the last "why," I (of course) have a lot on my mind and heart. Some of it I can fix - blog effort, for example, but most of it is not directly in my control. I don't seem to like that much, especially when the stress builds. And all I can do is pray about the things out of my control. One day, I'll ask all kinds of why questions.... Then again, by then I probably won't need the answers.

Ok, so update...
Ava Hope Wehner is 15 months old. She now weighs 22 pounds and 4 ounces (50 percentile) and measures 32 inches, which is the 90 percentile for height - the heighest she's ever been. I feel like I finally go an A on a project I've been working on for 15 months - ha!

Ava is walking everywhere - stepping up and down small (short) steps - on and off the porch, etc. She is blowing kisses, saying hi, ball (for any spherical object), woof (as she points to Reiley and sees and hears dogs on TV). She loves the Wiggles - only thing she will stop and watch, and her favorite Wiggles song is "move like the emu moves." She says "moo" and moves her arm around like I do when I watch it with her (daily). She LOVES music. She dances to any music she hears. She has a beautiful smile and such a sweet spirit. She has begun the wet noodle move when she's really unhappy. Her legs seem to turn into wet noodles because she slithers (literally) to the floor, then looks up to see if we're watching. Countdown to the 2's. She points and makes noise (grunt is the wrong word) to everything she sees and thinks she wants. She loves to climb stairs. She loves to walk outside and usually likes the wind in her face. She loves to ride in her stroller. If I leave it out, she walks to it and whines until I take her for a stroll. She loves for us to "chase" her around the house. She loves to find us by following our voices. She loves riding in the car (but not for hours on end) and gets excited when we go into the garage and open the door. She is very easy going (from Brent). She is a great sleeper.

She is our greatest gift and we love her more each and every day. We are so very blessed.
