So, back in January (go to that post and read for more details) (and it pains me to think it's now July basically - time is fly-ing!), Brent decided to have gum surgery. A reasonable decision, right? Especially since it was free and done by the periodontist he referred to while working in Wylie. Ok, so long story short - it took twice as long as he thought it would (but never asked), the doc decided to stop but Dr. Brent would have chosen to soldier on if he was asked, and then he drove himself home. Yes, he did. I asked, but he refused my offer. He was miserable (MISERABLE) for DAYS (thought he'd be down for the weekend, but not as sore as he was for a week). Some pics of the excitement...

He's not in physical pain here, just mental. He was so mad that he still looked like this a week later. I, however, was syked. Everyday I got to check for new colors. :) Maybe next time he'll ask the doc about the recovery period. Plus, it gives him new sympathy/empathy for his patients. It's good for a dentist to become the patient once in a while.Oh, and we watched a movie he DVR'd this past weekend... Brokeback Mountain. One we'll not see again.
